Faulty fuel consumption reading

After going for a drive in the 993, my dad and i realiseed that the fuel consumption reading was going up and down erraticly. If you imagine crusing at 60mph the reading would go from say, 25mpg, down to 16mpg, then up to 32mpg. Power, performance and fuel consumption have all stayed the same. Is this just somthing to do with the computer or could it be something else?

Hi Andy and Cliff. If I were you I would just set the OBC to show something completely different - like the temperature maybe - the temperature of what is anybody's guess! I don't have a clue what temperature it is supposed to tell you. It's just something else to worry about. See you soon.
