Details of this months meeting - hope you can make it.

8 February

One of the hot topics in R27 is classic car insurance, so we have arranged for one of Northern Irelands leading brokers, Campbell Autoline, to come along and discuss the issues of running a classic car.

Thanks

Mark

Dear all

A very professional and well organised meeting by Ken and Mark.

It was a joy to be at the Regions meeting getting and giving updates.

I look forward to meeting you all on the 17th March at Nu Look wheels Carrickfergus.

Best regards,

Alan

Hey guys,

With a lot of commitments lately I have not had much time to keep up... until my renewal appeared this morning! Was there any great advice from either campbell autoline or just from any of the members? I have a 1996 C4 which is currently with autoline but it is not cheap at £550 for a 3k, agreed value policy. At 30yo, age does not help me but I was wondering whether any of our good members can suggest alternatives or ways to bring it down?

Hi Adam,

That's pretty steep indeed. Best plan would be to ring and ask for Claire Acheson and see if there is a better policy available. She is good at talking through all your ooptions. You might have to hold out until the car is 20 years old until its gets a lot cheaper on the classic policy.

Cheers

Mark
