The Owl has booked in another party in to the function room for February's club night so we will be using the convservatory which is to the right and down the end when you go in the front entrance of the Owl.

The plan for the moment is to hold the quiz held over from December's cancelled club night, but we will see how the space works.

Up until now the Owl hasn't charged us for the use of the function room but has now decided this arrangement can no longer continue as they do not make enough profit out of us. The charge for the room is £50 which would cost us £600 per year and equates to half of our regional budget. So the question arises as to whether or not members feel that this is a reasonable use of funds and would like to stay at the Owl or would like to see if there is any other location that is as easy to access that would be prepared to allow us to use their facilities.

I have booked the room for March's club night so this gives us some time to think about a possible move, so please let me know your thoughts.

Hi Mark. Just been to Quality Hotel Selby (located junction of A63 and old A1) and they have 14 meeting rooms so can accomodate any number. Also large carpark and 10 acres of grassland for BBQ's. Speak to manageress, Jeanette on 01977 682761 and she will do first 2 meetings free to ascertain possible revenue before she gives a price per room. Would also look forward to line-up of Porsches at front of hotel.
Address is South Milford LS25 5LF and can be found on www.princehotels.co.uk
Cheers, John

Sounds good does that John- only trouble is we all roll up in an assortment of clapped out old cars and company vans!!! [:D]

Thanks John, we are planning on having a look around and talking to some people and will give her a ring for a chat.
