It seems that I only have to drive a very few miles before my wheels start to get coated with break dust. I've never had an automatic before and I think this problem must be worse as my car is a Tiptronic, I'm sure I must use more breaks rather than using engine breaking.
I've tried Swissvax wheel wax but I can't see it's made much difference.
I was talking to someone who details cars for a living and he said that changing the pads could make a big difference, he mentioned a make of pad but I can't remember what it was. Logically I can't see how this can make much difference as I thought the dust came from the disks rather than the pads.
Can anybody recommend a different make of pad or anything else that might make a difference?
