Hello everyone, many thanks to all who attended the club night talk on Wednesday. If everyone could possibly give some feedback either positive or otherwise it would be useful to judge whether we would like Dick to return sometime to give the second half of his talk which deals with the latter years of Austin and will probably cover some of the cars that we have owned in our youth!!

Thanks,

Chris Chappell

I really enjoyed his talk, found it really interesting and would be happy to listen to the other half.

Absolutely fascinating insight into the history of Austin/Morris, both the cars, and the political/workforce situation.
Julia was also intrigued by the talk, and we would both look forward to Part Two!

Cheers

We enjoyed the talk and think it would be good to have part 2 some time next year (Feb / Mar Club Night?)

Yes, Thanks Chris. Daniel and I both enjoyed the talk (although it was rather long) I personally related to many of the cars mentioned, having rebuilt a 1964 mini in my youth and, yes, I was also the recipient of a rust covered Morris 1100 which, by the time I parted with it, weighed twice as much owing to the gum and fibreglass covering the rot. All our thanks to Dick. Look forward to the next talk.

Sorry for the late reply, PC problems,

Fascinating insight into the life of Austin though the years, it would be interesting to find out were it all when wrong in the later years

Steve
