felt my first pain of Brexit today...:(

I have been looking at some parts for my car over recent weeks, mainly clutch hydraulic parts from ECP, hydraulic hose and master cylinder. My son ordered the cylinder last week (thank god), at first, it had to go back as he suspected it had been fitted on another car and so demanded a replacement but he forgot the hose. Anyway, he called me today as he was having problems with ECP, according to them they didn't stock this item yet we had bought one of them before and I had already found it on their website so my son asked me for the item number so he could point out their error. This is when Brexit hit me, last week the parts were advertised at £63 for the hose and £93 for the cylinder + VAT. Today, the hose is £80.54 and the cylinder is £120.92 again + VAT...now that is some price hike! I'm still waiting to hear how much the hose will set me back, luckily the cylinder was ordered at last week's prices which to my son is only £53 + VAT... I guess this is what happens when the pound loses so much of it's value....:(

Have you tried their generally cheaper sister site carparts4less? I don't understand the price increase, because the Pound has only devalued against the Euro by 5% in the last 3 months.

Carpartsbargains is one of ECP's usernames on ebay, just reordered some rear discs after they sent some that were dicky, cheap though. I've been pondering a Vitesse or Rogue MAF kit for a while, think I'll wait until the Pound recovers a bit.

Never had a problem with CarParts4less..... they are ECP online site & generally cheaper with a further discount of up to 15% if you spend over £100.....
I got my Bosch S5 battery from them last year for £86 with free delivery....

Yep I've bought plenty of parts from ECP, CP4L, etc, just on this occasion one of the discs had been machined incorrectly and the other wasn't coated as described and both boxes had been opened previously.

Don't think that I've used CarParts4less myself, having taken a look at their site I couldn't find anything specific for the Turbo so perhaps that is why? From what I can see the few items that would suit my own car do come out cheaper than ECP although still a lot dearer than what my son can get them for. I guess he could always open a trade account with CarParts4less but since they don't seem to do parts for the turbo model it's probably not worth it , plus the more he buys from one outlet the higher his discount which for ECP is currently at the max.

Eurocarparts, Carparts4less, Carpartsbargains are all the same company. Replacement Pagid turbo rear discs were delivered this morning, look fine. Under £70 for the pair delivered.

I couldn't find the discs?..or should I say there are a number of types/manufacturers listed but not stated as specific to the turbo....I suspect it's just a case of bad website as the car details won't allow model variants, I could only get Porsche 944 2.5 1986?

edit: I just compared the ECP website and it's the same?...I guess since my son buys the parts for me and has a direct contact he just states what car he needs the parts for, he certainly never uses the website, I think they need to hire a better web designer...:)

Pound has gone from 1.31 to as low as 1.16 in last month, that's more than 5%, it's 11%. And expect Porsche to up the price of all UK cars in September.

Don't ask me how it works Pete, I have these discs saved in my watch list on ebay and it goes straight to them, but a new search doesn't bring them up . Not sure if the pre 88 turbo rear discs are 299mm dia anyway ?

If they do put prices up it would be outrageous as we are already
paying more than ten percent over the prices our continental
cousins pay .
