Festival of Speed - Richard who?

FOS Moving Motor Show Thursday - great cars, great weather and a ride up the hill with Richard Attwood (or Richard Who? to a certain person). O.K. the ride was a bit pedestrian, but how often do you get to ask your driver what it was like to drive a longtail 917 along the Mullsanne straight? Admitedly the event isn't a patch on the main FOS, but hey, beggars can't be choosers!

I also had a ride up the hill with Richard Attwood and two others in a Panamera Hybrid, again fairly pedestrian ride but as you say we got to spend more time with the legend. Isn't the drive back down to the start line a bit messy? One other thing certainly worth a mention is the £25 a head lunch in the Porsche Cafe Le Mans wow! is all I can say what value for money we were looked after just like Porsche Customers should be looked after. Thanks to all. Definately going to the Thursday show next year if it is on.

Went on Friday for the 1st time, great day, really need at least 2 days to see it all.

Did the Porsche Experince in the Cayenne around the field, what a laugh, the new car with 4.7litre V8 and 8 speed gearbox was very good, spend most of the time looking out through the side window to see where we were going.

Also saw the new GT3 4litre in the flesh and go up the hill with the GT2RS, really good motors.

Also saw the new guniness book world record of a guy driving a Nissna Juke on two wheels for the length of the hill climb, what control.

Saw Mark Webber about 6ft away, and was stood next to his F1 car when they started it, what an awesome noise!!

Worth every penny, may go for 2 days or the whole weekend next year.
