Michael!!

I would suggest getting a diagnostic check done on the roof, as there are all sorts of things it might be. Low on hydraulic fluid, dodgy microswitches, pump or cylinders, etc. It should show what is wrong, and where to look..

As for the radio, I assume it is a CDR22. Do you have the M490 amplifier option? (Look for 490 on the sticker under the bonnet or in the maintenance booklet). It might be that the amplifier is faulty, or blown a fuse (fuse D9) or the lead from head unit to amplifier may be damaged or disconnected.

Thanks fir the reply I will check the model of the stereo tomorrow.

Do you no where you top up the hydraulic fluid for the roof?

Thanks
Michael

The pump and tank are behind the rear seats. You need a special hydraulic fluid though. If you drop me an email I'll dig out the procedure and fluid spec from the workshop manual for you.
