Filling the Gearbox

Right gents, problem no3(ish)
My car is a 987 gen 2 with Tiptronic auto box
58 plate

I have to change the gearbox sump, it has become porous
I have the parts . . . . Not eyewateringly expensive by Porsche standards
However, what are the rules for filling the gearbox?
Parts and oil are all from Porsche, but, I can get no solid, reliable advice for refilling the box.
How much oil does the gearbox hold/need?
How do I fill it?
Yep, I see the drain and fill ports, but, the oil has to be pumped in I assume.

As always, any advice gratefully received

John,

It's a bit of a faff to do, as the excellent Pelican article shows, and you'll need a pump to fill the sump and also a thermometer to measure the sump temperature.

There was a Wheeler Dealers episode where Ed China replaced the tiptronic filter and transmission oil on a 986 Boxster, which could be useful if you can find it online.

If you have all the parts fluids might be better to source an auto gearbox garage for an hours Labour I am sure it's better than all the hassle and mess.
After all companies like this are doing it day in day out.
