My Sapphire Metallic has been on ramps for about 3 weeks now..to change the leaking water pump gasket..just received a "full kit" of specialist tools from http://www.arnnworx.com/ earlier this week..the pump is off now..will give it some good cleaning tomorrow and everything will be as good as new by sunday..i hope..
Right..got all my tools and new bits i possibly would need to finish the job..the tensioning tool(backorder from http://www.arnnworx.com ) just arrived this morning and so did my brand new torque wrench..but..
Just when i was about to get things going i figured that it would be nice to work on a bit cleaner engine..so a quick spray with a jet washer seemed like a solution..well..as always i got carried away again..before i even realised i had spent over 2 hours spraying out nearly all the small corners..i didn't use any chemicals so obviously i didn't get it as clean as i would have liked..so i'll just call it stage 1 then..left the engine to dry while tomorrow..and got some chemicals now..stage 2 to follow tomorrow..[]
If anyone's interested i've uploaded 2 new pics to http://axl.zoomshare.com in the "1985 Sapphire Metallic 944 Lux" album..before and after stage 1..
