Finally I have a 951......

After a long search, i finally have a 951.
Not quite the car i was looking for to start with, but at my budget (£2500) i couldnt be fussy.

The car is a 1986 951. Zermatt silver with full black sport leather. It has some goodies in the form of Authority Chips, Bailey dump valve and Tial DPW. Print outs for RW BHP of 278bhp so about 290bhp at the flywheel. But its currently running 220bhp (which is plenty).

Had a great drive with the kids today. The car perfomed faultlessly and i was reminded how easy it would be to loose my license if im not careful. How can this car be 23 years old?

Ok enough chit chat. Pictures:

Few bits and bobs to get sorted on the car, mostly to get it looking like how i want it. But thats half the fun of Porsche ownership isnt it?

Ah is this the one that was advertised on RR with an iffy HG? Either way it's a steal for how much you paid for it and the overall condition.

I'm sure that you will have alot of fun with that Rav knowing your previous cars. I know 3 months into Porsche ownership I have enjoyed mine with the 3k I have covered in it so far.

What are the plans for this one? Are you planning on making it Cup Spec etc.?

It didn't by any chance come with some D90s did it? ;) I might be interested if you don't want them.

I'm sure we're all pleased you've finally got one Rav [;)]

anyway - it looks very nice, and a potential bargain at 2500. Get the h/g sorted and wind up the boost [:D][:D]

I was going to ask how you got that for the rpice as I am genuinely in the hunt for a turbo myself but thats to the link to RR ( I had never heard of it sadly) I just read the advert. In my defnece I only definately made the decision to buy a ' mid age ' porsche a couple of weeks ago.

Yep Im sure a few folk were after it and I can genuinely say I'd have bought that one in a flash so well done m8ee

Enjoy !

Thats a nonsense Im afraid, although people here will still repeat it. 952 is the part number prefix for specific right hand drive parts. Porsche regard right hand drive models as 951s and this can be established by looking at the VIN. If anyone has a VIN which starts WPOzzz95zHN2, then I will eat my Arai!

This applies equally to 932s, 938s etc: all rubbish.

edited to make sense

Congratulations.

I always get you confused with Ravvi who has just bought a 968CS lol.

Glad you've finally bought your 951!

Rav.
Finally youve found one..
It has been a long search....
Anyway. I hope you enjoy your new beast.....[:D][:D][:D]
