Dear all
New to the forum and to Porsche.
Working away from home and picking up Turbo S end of may,
Any pitfalls or things to be aware of, present car 2011 XKR
Wish i had never had that test drive [:D] seemed like my ZZR 1400

The only pitfall I can think of is the threat to your driving licence!

You won't get the same sense of speed as you do with the 'bike but it will accelerate faster than probably anything else you have driven with 4 wheels so keep half an eye on the speedo and enjoy!

Possibly consider a wrap to protect from stonechips being as its new...
They are known to be a tad on the quick side...

Make sure you get yourself booked on the Silverstone driving day as soon as possible- you'll learn a lot about the Porsche character whilst there and may save an embarrasing incident in the future[;)] - you will have been offered one free of charge with the purchase of the car.

Thanks for the advice Gary , I was looking forward to that, I will only be home from 29th may until 25th of June so hoping to get the silverstone driving day done somewhere in between , I live in Ashford Kent , even though I am an exciled Jock. I had a test drive of a Turbo S between christmas and new year, and I have had itchy teeth since then[:D].
My XKR is reasonably quick having 503 horses, but good grief , it felt like a Tank after the 911, what have I been thinking about all these years . I cant wait [:D]

Set speed limit warning in computer to help you keep your licence! Allows you to watch the road not the speedo.Enjoy. [8D]
