Hi all

Just returned from a 750 mile round trip that included Brighton, Tring, Anglesey, Snowdonia, Betws-y-coed and back.

Started out on Thursday finished up Sunday afternoon. Vehicular niggles included a punctured rear tyre and a Off Side Brake light failure. Sorted the tyre for £150 and the brake light for £1.25p. I learnt how to find the oil level, add water to the washer bottle/tank. What most of the buttons on the dash are for and how much cr#p I can get in the front. Also that the roads in Herts Beds and Bucks area are cr#p compared with everywhere else in the United Kingdom.

Breathe.

As a result of this trip my wife and I have whole heartedly fallen in love with our (2nd) Porsche. The car is fantastic, the power delivery is fantastic, the brakes.. fantastic, gearbox... you guessed it, in fact it would be fair to say that we are pleased with our purchase.

On the trip we saw 2 other 993' s (both waved) and a variety of other Porsche (that didn' t wave) We experienced the pure pleasure of a bunch of kids that gave us the thumbs up as we went past and the pure jealousy from a bunch of grown ups as we went past. (who gave us the bird)

I now have to think of a way of wrestling the car from my wife for the rest of the week.

Next weekend, Brighton Speed Trials. (Elise)

Hi Dave
The car came from a specialist in Uxbridge, nice guys who gave me alot of time and no hard sell.

Just been told by the Mrs that I wont be getting it back until the weekend, oh well, it' s raining and I have an Elise parked outside. I' m glad I have my swimmers with me.[&:]
