first Mods for my 944

sweetpea

Hi All,

Well only had the car for a week, decided to make my first modification - a Throttle Cam

Fitted it in seconds and wow - what a difference!

Throttle response far better that standard and for £20 quid i think a very worthwhile mod.. highly recommended for those who haven't already done so

Secondly i noticed that i was getting a small amount of water ingress via the tailgate seal.

Got a few quotes - all silly money, so got searching on the internet......discovered these people;

http://www.sealsdirect.co.uk/bbCMS/shopping.asp?intDepartmentId=68

(scroll to the bottom of the page and see ETS58 which i found to be a perfect match.. you will require 4 metres for the tailgate cost worked out about £23.00 quid).

I found them very helpful and the seal arrived the following morning.... now fitted and jobs a good one.

ETS58... the cushion is upper most and the seal is side on.. if that makes sense

Ta - I need to do mine. Couldn't remember how it sat, and you'll not get me out in the rain now to check !! [:D]

Rain!!!! tell me about it.... my tailgate was leaking like a tap and i haven't been able to do anything with it all week, so finally got chance this morning.

Checked it a few times today in between downpours.. and it seems to have done the job, so i can put my carpet back in now! [:D]

I daren't check mine bud - sure it must be leaking as the windnoise is bad insie. I've parked it on my drive facing uphill thogh, so hopfully most of the water will just run off without trying to run in ! haha
