Well done! I have my first MOT in as few months. Im petrified! My handbrake is terrible and Im just plucking up the courage to try and adjust it myself

Nice one Rob , mine is booked in for it's MOT tomorrow, not failed one yet in the 11+ years I've owned her but that won't stop me worrying while she's being tested...lol Pete

Have faith brother!!! As long as you paid good money and didn't get a wrongun then she should be ok. She is as solid as a rock, as I suspected she would be. Might even treat to a full undersealing when I address the small corrosion advisories. Why - because she's worth it lol!!!

Hey Pete I am down Wembley for work on Monday. Don't suppose you fancy meeting up for a brew at the ACE cafe??? Would love to have a look around your 944. Probably put mine to shame though.

Hi Rob I'm working in Windsor next week, don't get home till 8pm but may be able to get there for 9pm if your still around mate.

Lol wasn't planning on staying in the smoke that long. I'll text you Monday mate let you know how the day is going. How is the ACE for dinner? I have only ever had a fry up there before!!

hmm.. think I've only had simple things there like pie or fish and chips, they do have a good menu though and the portions were very generous. The Ace is always busy with something on, monday night is petrolhead nirvana meet what ever that is...lol. May be better to meet on a Porsche night with the next one being Saturday 17th October...[:)][:)]

Yeah think I may be up for that. There are a couple of local lads as well I think Pauly is one of them I think. Well local round here is anywhere within 100 miles!! Cmon guys lets get down the smoke for a night. And we could always have a race on the A1M on the way home. Bet I'll win lol. The gauntlet has been laid!!!

Well had the car since July and the day came today for my first MOT. Dropped her off this morning and told them I'd pick her up after work. Well I have to admit I spent the day much like an expectant father. Time finally came to pick her up and bad news is..... she failed. Good news is it was only for parking brake. Fair one really as when I got her back to work and removed the rear discs the shoes practically disintegrated!!! Even better news is that the emissions were 0.35% CO and 19 ppm HC. How good is that??? Good girl!! Daddy was pleased!!! Quite a few advisories mostly for slight corrosion and a couple of bushes. To be fair glad they picked them up as now I know they need some attention. As a reward I treated her to a nice tank of high octane fuel. Another 944 lives to fight another year!!!

[:D] Don't really do rain or dark so unless it's a dry weekend run out I'd have to give the Ace a miss until next year.
