first post, advice on -10 or -30 or none

I have a 2003 C2 and would like to upgrade the suspension. Since quite new would like to say with OPC fix which is -10 or -30 kit.

I am being told that -30 is too harsh unless you do alot of track days, -10 good for general road use.

Question, will the -10 make a noticable difference? I do think the car wobbles a bit too much when pushed so I would like an upgrade.

the -10 is around £1,500 fitted from the dealer, not too bad but still want to be sure it will make a difference.

Any help would be great

I'd say -30 is too harsh unless the roads around you are billiard-table smooth or you are intending on tracking the car.

My first 996 was normal suspension and I found it bouncy, this has the M030 which is -10 and it feels much better and more steady.

So to me the -10 was a big improevement in handling.

The 10mm lowered set up makes a big difference to the cars handling when you press on 9although not in normal driving), much less understeer, less bodyroll, less float & pitch. It makes the car much more of drivers car, the option code is as the other guys say M030.
But be aware that it will make the ride a good deal harsher on bumpy B roads & some other owners find it too harsh. The 30mm lower set up (X-74) is realy for smooth tracks, you will loose your fillings on road.
Test drive a C4S or Turbo at your OPC & decide for yourself, they both have M030 10mm lower as standard. Personally I wouldn't have a Porker without the sports set up, but we are all different!

I've got the M030 10mm lower option. I much prefer it to the standard set up. Fantastic on A roads, fairly harsh on poor B roads. Personally I wouldn't it any harsher as it would detract from my enjoyment on long runs.

Any ideas on how much it would cost to retrofit the M030 kit on an 2003 C2 from an OPCSpecialist?
Or perhaps could the kit from Carnewal be fitted by a mechanic and then just get the geometry setup thereafter?

I went thru a similar quandry recently with my 98 C2 Tip, the standard set-up was old and due for replacement.

I have 18" Sport Design wheels and didnt want anything too harsh, occaisional track (1-3 yr), long journeys and regular town driving.

Ending up getting it from Carnewal and Camtune to fit it. Carnewal good, Camtune (first time I used them) very good.

Only driven briefly through town once so too early to say but firmer - yes, harsh - nope. So it would seem a good improvement on what I had and I am sure I will reap the real benefits when its driven as it should be!

We have the factory 030 suspension and aerokit on our 996 Carrera. The setup is great for general road use, I wouldn't go any lower personally than -10mm, as our car already grounds the bottom lip at the front on the aerokit over speed bumps and in multistory car parks.
