Hi, Just joined your Forum this morning... Thanks for letting me in!

I have owned two 944's in the past, a B reg lux and an F plate 944 S. The reason I'm back is, I have the chance to buy a 944 turbo for little cash. I'm very tempted!

I know it's a long shot, but as it's becoming a rare car I was wondering if anyone on here knows the car ...... the reg is E536PDC, red 88/E turbo

any previous owners lurking? or anyone with knowledge of the car please post what you know!

Thanks & Regards, John.

Hi John and welcome.
It rather depends on how little they want and what needs doing.
The old mantra that there is no such thing as a cheap Porsche still remains very true.
If you can do the work yourself then it makes things a little different but at a decent indie it can cost 000s to put things right.
Price the car and the repairs!
Having said that I love mine and yes it absorbs money quite quickly!

Welcome aboard the good ship 'Modify your Turbo' - it could be a choppy crossing....[8|][;)][:D]

Hello and welcome.

I bought a 'cheap' Turbo a while back now for £2.5k and im not to proud to admit that i wish id waited a while longer as you can now pick up some real bargains with not quite as much work needed as mine needs.

Having said that, my cars engine is in very good fettle and is chipped and seems very fast indeed compared to another 220 model i drove and also much faster than a mates brothers 'mint' low milage example. I can, and do a lot of the work myself and also know a very very good bodywork man who will sort out the rust for a fraction of the prices i see some people paying. And that includes one new sill etc etc.

So its swings and roundabouts.

Good luck with the car and i hope it turnes out to be a good un.
