First Post - My 'induction'

Hi. My first post on the forum although as a former Jag XKR owner have been a contributor to others. Last car was a BMW M3 which I know is often a forerunner to 911 ownership.

Anyway, have been back-reading lots of post particularly around the obvious mods of exhaust and induction. Before this, however, my car.....

About a month ago I bought a 2001 996 C4 Manual Coupe - Silver with dark blue interior. 50k on the clock and unmodified. Very pleased, obviously, and like many have fulfilled a lifelong dream in buying one. Of greatest note with this car is the way it grips!

So, back to mods. Has anyone looked at the DesignTek Induction Kit (Blue as opposed to Fabspeed Red). It uses a foam filter which I presume isn't oiled so won't affect the Air Sensor. Also are the DesignTek exhausts basically the same as Fabspeed? I ask this as Paragon are a supplier and I can get to them fairly easily.

Finally, I live in Sussex on the south coast and would welcome any 'Hi's' from the Sussex crowd including any Goodwood participants/GRRC members.

That's it for now.

Cheers

Principal Mark

Welcome,

I recently heard a design tek exhaust and it sounded fantastic.... and had a very good report (very close to fabspeed if not the same - according to reports). Sadly I know nothing about the filter...

However... i'm sure you'll be sticking with Porsche from now on....

Thanks Chris and Richard. Yes I wil be sticking with Porsche for a while; just trying to get out of the habit of treating each drive like a practice session for Le Mans!!
