Hi all, from cold the gear change from first to second isn't as smooth as when the car is warm, it's almost as if were it a manual the clutch is dropped. is this normal?

Wouldn't think so, no. Obviously things improve a little when the oils are up to temperature but not noticed any particular jerkiness when cold, if that is what you mean. Is it the same in all chrono positions - normal, sport, sport +? The latter is always harder on changes, by design.

May need a trip to the OPC.[:(]

When the car's cold I actually used to get a "crunching" noise when the PDK shifted lower gears. But after about couple of mins it stopped.

Porsche Reading fixed the problem and said it needed software update..........which I thought was odd considering the sound was a crunching noise and therefore I assumed it must have been a mechanical issue. Anyhow, after the visit to Porsche Reading the car doesn't do it anymore :)

Hmm interesting I called an OPC they said it was normal, may ring another and see if they say the same
