First top down day of the year!

dawn lang

Ex Club Member
Well, I finally took off the hard top this morning and went to work 'topless' this morning!!!

Hurrah - the best season of the year is finally approaching and it's a beautiful day.

I've got absolutely nowhere I NEED to go today but i'm blooming well taking the car out for a spin - roofless again.

Had a delicate moment putting the roof up when I got to work this morning - decided to be careful as it's been folded down for 4 months but it was absolutely fine.

Hope you're all having a top down day too![:D]

Dawn ditch the hard hat and you could have had this experience several times in 2004 :ROFLMAO: Glad to hear you are topless at last [8D]

I have the feeling that I probably could have worded that a little better!:ROFLMAO:

One of the advantages of not having a hard top is that if it is warm enough and the sun is out, down comes the roof. I sometimes think this is better than roof down in 35 deg in the summer [:)]

Graeme I agree ... Winter topless motoring in a modern sports car with wind deflector and decent heating is a real pleasure and as you say can be a lot more pleasant than a baking hot summers days like we had last year for weeks on end [8D]

Having the glass back window version makes the top up experience pleasurable enough to really make the hard hat redundant IMO but I am a bit off a toplessholic :ROFLMAO: most dry days.

Hi Dawn,

Glad to hear that you have your hard top off. I don't have one, so enjoy the advantages, of whipping it down at every opportunity (there must be a better way of saying that too)

I did have a hard top for my MGF but never used it, as I love driving on dark nights with the stars above, good music.....sheepskin jacket, thermals, gloves, heater on full........[:D]

Louise has just gone off to the hairdressers with the roof down and George Michael blaring away. His latest CD - Patience sounded good as it disappeared into the distance.

No doubt I'll get a phone call when she leaves Loose Cuts and can't get the roof up![&:]

I've got my top down too. The trouble is - it is on the car down in Lincoln and I am 450 miles up in Inverness. It is a belter of a day in Inverness though.

You've waited THIS long!!

Had the roof down on my wife's Alfa over a month ago!!

Mel
PS It's for sale....

I sold my hard top because it was always fitted when the sun was out on the winter days.

Oh, and because my better half got fed up with helping me lift it off at the first ray of sunshine that i saw, and dumping it on the front room floor while i was out!!

That is so famliar![:D] Ours is currently sitting in the front room too! No room in the garage for it as the 944 is quite a snug fit!
