R7 FISH AND CHIP RUN 2025.

The 2025 Fish and chip run to Whitby will be on Sunday 6th April and Thursday 10th April.

Untitled-1.jpg

The Start of the Sunday run will be at : -THE MALTINGS TEA ROOMS.
Common Lane , South Milford, LS25 5BX. starting at 10.00am and departing at 11.00am.

The Thursday event will be starting from :- THE MOTORIST
Lennerton Lane, Sherburn in Elmet LS256JE starting at 10.00am and departing at 11.00am.

The Motorist have reserved their Le Mans lounge for us.
There will be two routes of approximately 100 miles and we will suggest places to stop en-route for coffee etc.
Route Guidance will be paper copies with Google maps options for those who require them.

We hope to arrange a stop at Sledmere House café on both days for those taking the eastern route around York.

It is requested that entrants book their own seating at restaurants in advance this year.
Please annotate the booking with Porsche R7 so the restaurant knows it is the club run out.

We would suggest the Magpie, Trenchers or Abbey Wharf for those with a canine friend accompanying them. We have been in touch with the restaurants to advise them of our trip out. We would suggest that bookings be made for around 15:00 hours to allow for travel and stops.
The restaurants will do individual or group bookings if some wish to team up. Trenchers will only do group bookings for 7 or more.

UPDATE. There is a possible problem with Trenchers individual bookings.

Magpie will do groups up to 10 and have availability on both days between 14:30 and 15:30.

Abbey Wharf have a table booking service on their web page.
Below suggested contacts.
Contact Trenchers at enquiries@trenchersrestaurant.co.uk

Contact the Magpie at reservations@magpiecafe.co.uk

Contact the Abbey Wharf at info@abbeywharfwhitby.co.uk or book direct through their web page.

We are hoping to confirm car parking at the Co-op as usual from 2 pm onwards. This will give members plenty of time to arrive in Whitby and enjoy a stroll round the town, ‘weather gods permitting!’
There will be a charge of £5 per car for the CO-OP, this will be split between the Co-op’s current charity and the Air Ambulance Charity.
We also aim to run a raffle on both dates in aid of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

the Thursday run, thanks.

Can you please book me and Debra for the Thursday run?
No Mitex
Jeremy

You will need to book your own food at which ever restaurant you want to use. We are not doing any restaurant bookings ourselves this year.
