1. Remove the yellow and black mute wire.
2. Place the Mute wire in the slot directly above where you removed it from.
3. Using a wire tap (radio shack 10 for $5) connect the mute wire to the ground.
4. Using the wire tap (that is already attached to the parking break wire/green wire) attach it to the ground wire as well.
5. GROUND the BLACK WIRE....AKA GROUND DUH! ENJOY!

EASY EASY EASY...don't make this more difficult than it has to be.

i have fitted the d 3 in and it is now up and running, here are some problems i found and how to get round them.
1. unit would not fit into dash had to make a cover/adaptor plate out of metal,to take up the space covered in foam to look better(see picture)(found out later a adaptor kit is out at £300 from japan)
2. because the porsche cd is can bus fed, to switch it on, you cannot use these wires to power it up ,you need to run a wire from fuse c-6 as a switch on ignition feed, you can use earth and constant live from porsche plug. (a can bus adaptor is out at £200)
3.a speed sensor wire needs to be put in pin 46 on abs module(white wire brown stripe).
4.illumination lead tap on to live side of dash/vent lights
5. reverse lead on rear tail light (black with blue stripe)
the speakers just plug in , (std lead)
6. i had trouble with bluetooth connection had to load software from jetwaremobile.com to get it to work.
7. loaded porsche logo into unit on boot up of unit
found all info on these sites www.caymanclub.net
