Hi.
Still working my way through my MOT failure project.
Rubbing down the fuel lines they started weeping petrol.
So I need to replace from the pump to at least under drivers seat.
And also the flexible hoses connecting to the fuel injector rail.

After new rather than secondhand parts.
Experience of after market nylock type products appreciate.

You might as well run braided pipes from the front to the rear, genuine pipes are expensive for what they are. mine had gone at the opposite end either side of the fuel filter. I bought both hoses from Porsche and also replaced the 10mm pipe from the top of the tank to the hard line. The connections were really corroded so I cut them off an simply secure the rubber pipe on the hard line with a couple of hose clips.

I understand nylock nuts cannot be used where temperatures exceed 250F. Otherwise, I've have no problems with them in the past. I'm not sure if they are "re-usable" but I have when the bolt they are coming off is pretty clean and resistance is felt when the nylon makes contact with the threads. If a used nut just spins on with little difficulty then replace it or add a lock washer.

I've run Teflon overbraided AN lines from the rail back on mine. Pretty easy to do, "Torques" on eBay sells all the fittings - my friend redid his with the black nylon overbraid and black fittings, you'd have to look closet to realise they weren't OEM.

Thanks for all replies guys.
"Torque" sounds promising, the bit from pump to filter seems quite fiddly.
Do you still have order details?
Cheers K.

The pump to the filter pipe can still be bought new, for mine the part number is 951 356 041 07 £40.39 + VAT
