Finally fitting the RS ECU and extra oil cooler to the car today looking forward to the 20-30% increase in mid range acceleration which should be interesting. Look out for a low flying 993TT............

Improvements are that it kicks in a little earlier and just keeps going to over 7000rpm, with an extra over boost (1.0 bar) in the 4000rpm area I need to drive it a bit more to make sure! I'm presuming you are looking at overtaking in 4th and 5th by the comment which havent really tried as of yet!? I was averaging 17mpg beforehand, its now nearer 13mpg but thats not representative as I was blasting around like an idiot testing it, will report back post Ragley! I have no loss of drivability or reliabilty(hopefully)!ORIGINAL: dparslow
Gordon, where in the rev range is the biggest gain. I am very happy with the top end of the rev range on mine, as I very rarely have to venture there, but more torque at low and mid range for relaxed overtaking is where I would really want it.
The effect on fuel consumption would be of interest as I can usually squeeze out 400 miles on a full tank on the really long steady runs.
