Fitting stereo

Trying to fit a Pioneer stereo to oval dash 944 what colours are for permanent live,live when ignition is on and earth,i think earth is brown but want to be 100% sure.

The safest way to find out is to put your voltmeter on it. With an old car like these are, you never know what wiring has been replaced, so can never guarantee that somebody hasn't switched a colour because he didn't have the right colour.

I replaced the stereo in mine a couple of months ago, and that's how I figured out the connections.

It takes less time to check it than it does to compose a message on the forum [:)]
 
Fitted a new stereo to mine recently. It hasn't blown up yet so I think I got the wiring right!

Permanent live : Red
Antenna Power : Red/Black
Ignition : Green/White
Ground : Brown
