Fix that rattle in the front of the 996

Gentlemen, I have had a rattle that sounded just like worn out shocks in the front. You probably have read loads on the web about front end rattles. Cars over 50K miles Series 1 and 2 996.
Ok, we changed the shocks, it was still there. We changed the drop links, it was still there. We changed the control arm the one from the coffin link to the chassis. Eureka, it was
completely shot. Looked Ok but in a vice you could feel the notchiness. Both sides changed in 30 minutes easy job. Problem solved. It has also solved a very slight vibration i was
feeling through the steering wheel thinking it was a wheel out of balance. It wasn't....................so if you get the rattles, check that control arm out before forking out on
new shocks.
