Fixing number plate to front PU

I want to avoid having to drill and screw my number plate to the mounting bracket on the front PU, but because the unit is curved, using fixing tape is a bit tricky.

I thought I'd been successful in getting it fixed, as I left it cure for a good 24 hours, with pressure applied via various means to the plate, and it's lasted well for about 8 months, but now is starting to lift away of the sides.

I've been using the standard sticky pads that Halfords sell (which have worked impressively with previous cars, with FLAT front mountings) so I was wondering whether "No More Nails" on a roll would be anymore robust?

What do the rest of you do? Screw fix 'em?

Try and heat the plate into the desired shape ..the pads will have to very sticky to hold it to the shape,or silicone it in place overnight with pressure on the outside edge ,I just used the original screw holes to fix untill I buy some new plates then I will use the unscrewed method ,,backs are no problem

I use good quality waterproof velcro (available at some Halfords). Mine have not lifted at ends even after 2 years. My local OPC has been fixing plates this way for some time. The other advantage is that you can swap to show plates for concours, track days etc.

Change to an industrial decal "plate".
Plod couldn't care less whether its a plastic plate or a decal, provided its regulation size/colour.

If you go to a motor trader part supplier ie Partco they will supply a roll of double sided tape that will hold. I have the plate S1 COT on my C4S and i cut my plates leaving the leagl 1' either side. I then cut the front mounting to the same lenght as the plate and it look great. Never had any problems. Easy to get another plastic mounting if you want to keep on original. Can send of pictures if you like.
