Flag Mirrors?

demon

New member
My 1989 911 currently has retrofitted teardrop wing mirrors (previous owner) but I think the car looks better with the old flag mirrors. Does anyone know if flag mirrors off a 928 or 944 would fit properly or is there an issue with the base..?

On that note does anyone have any flag mirrors lying around/interested in part ex?

The bases are certainly different - and they are even different between RHD and LHD cars of the same model. I have a pair of flag mirrors from my LHD 964 sitting in the garage - but they are painted yellow I'm afraid. If your car is RHD they won't fit anyway.

Regards

Dave

I am glad that people are seeing the light and retro-fitting the genuine mirrrors. I always loved my old "elephant ears", they suit the car.

The good news is that you will get nearly £200 for those tear drops on ebay and you will get a set of flags for around £50 :)

For now, with a definate swing happening towards 3.2's how long before allthings 3.2 start becoming premium.
