Flakey callipers

Wow, second post in the same night. This is the first time I've been on here for months. being a new father and with a new job this is the first time I've sat down in 5 months!

I have flakey callipers and they are peeling faster than a brit in the costa de sol!

I think that small chips in the paint teamed with jet washing whilst hot has caused this.

I have called around to get some qoutes as I was a factory level finish but they all want over £1,000 .

Has anybody suffered a similar situation and found a solution?

Thanks,
Richie.

Hi faced with the same problem on my S I had the calipers removed at my local garage and took great care to nitromors the paint off. Next I painted the calipers with several coats of high temp brake caliper paint (only available online...Porscheshop!) Thirdly I applied "Porsche" brake caliper stickers (available on ebay ..high quality!) Finally I coated the caliper faces with heat resistant engine laquer. Back on the car the calipers look like new and the brakes work fine.
Hope this helps!
Mike
