Flamenco Red interior

There is a nicely priced C2S in Arctic with Flameco Red interior.

Will this be unsellable when one comes to punt?

It depends. Red leather traditionally goes with silver - one of the most desirable colour combinations for 356s. But, on a 996/997 it would need to be tempered with a lot of black.

Flamenco Red sounds like a special order, so may reflect one individual's personal taste. Red interiors don't photograph very well - can look awful. But, in the flesh it can look fine.

It is all red!

I quite like it. I had a similar colour in an Alfa. But I think that is an Alfa thing, perhaps.

But a good price.....

You see quite a few car makes with red as an option and it seems to work well, e.g. Merc., BMW, Ferrari but very few Porsche, maybe because it is a special colour option and not a standard one.

Depends whether the whole interior is red, inc. things like dashboard in which case I would caution against it as the whole thing can be far too overwhelming.

I ran a Slate Grey/Lipstick red combination of seats and inner doors in red with rest in black (cf. maybe early 911) and this always got positive interest, even from an OPC! Whilst this worked well on the 996 am not so sure about the 997, which inside has a more square/angled design versus rounded.

I think Ive seen the car you are referring to and it looks pinkish red to me and IMHO looks hideous. Also, I think it was a bit cheaper than expected IIRC and that'll likely be due to the interior.
Eveyone to their own. Someone mustve liked it to order it even though they were probably under the influence of mind altering drugs at the time[X(]

I would say forget being able to sell privately for good money. Might be p/exable.

If YOU like it, then buy it - if you are just considering it for it being cheap then you might regret it later.

Mind Bending eh. I think this is the rascal. At a Jolly Jock OPC?

That particular car was on sale at the Silverstone OPC for a while but evidently didn't sell so they must have shipped it up to their sister dealership in Edinburgh. I saw it in the showroom their and personally thought it looked awful as Flamenco is a very lipstick pink colour. Each to their own though.

Even I'd draw a line at that colour scheme and I had Boxster Red on my 986

Spizz buy what you like and don't worry so much about residuals the OPC's are past masters at fleecing you whatever options you choose.

Spending this kind of money there is nothing worse than sitting there after 4 weeks ownership saying "i got a a good deal but I wish I had bought options X & Y......" ruins the whole ownership experience

If you like it, then buy it. Whatever floats your boat....

I love my boxster red interior. My last car had a red interior, and I'm already wondering if I'll be able to find my next 911 with a red interior.....

If you're worrying about depreciation, invest your money in bricks and mortar
