Flasher relay.. 1989, 930 turbo, got pic and part number of relay, searched all over the car ....
Must be hidden out of site, can anybody help me to locate it ?

Hi - on mine it is found on the offside of the luggage compartment bulkhead, between the heater fan and the offside inner wing, however mine is a 1975, and yours was built nearly 14 years later in 1988. on mine it is a little square relay. Good luck!

Thanks James...have looked there,my car must be different because theirs nothing in that area that looks like the relay i'm trying to locate...
Have no indicators or emergency hazards working, need to sort pretty quick because MOT is due end of this month...
Looked in every corner of luggage compartment...left of engine bay...behind passenger footwell air con area...behind centre console...
Can't just keep taking things apart....

It was just were you said, got at it from the luggage area, maybe even glanced at it while searching for it but never realised the 30 mil square black box was the flasher relay....shame i've now got all the carpets etc to refit neat and tidy.
Should have picked you guys brains first....Thanks again, just hoping the new relay solves the problem when i get one tomorrow...if not..

Me again Kev...

Just heard the second best sound a man can hear ??? think us men know the first...:)

Yes you guessed... just pressed the new relay into position and as soon as contact was made WE HAVE LIFTOFF!!!

All the hazards flashing away!!!! How can something so simple make a grown man HAPPY!!! (sure has me) and all for a £8.00 relay...

The last time money had to be spent on my car was a few years ago and that was in the thousands....new cams had to be fitted along with
a rolling road session... oil line blocked that lubricates the cam lobes hence one of the lobes blued and well worn...

Bob Watson carried out the work who worked on my car back in the early 90s... good guy could'nt fault him... so yes £8 good day....

Roll on the wk end to put things back together and have a drive out and blow the cobwebs off...

By for now and think you deserve a pic of my 22 year owned 930 ....

Hi Porky

Yes a photo would be good

I had the same problem with a cam spray bar on mine but I only installed 1 x cam back in 2000 @ 36796 miles found it while installing a new clutch, yes spent some £3,000.00 plus vat on parts, got all bits from Kontact in Wansworth, also needed a new sports exhaust £ 2,400 from Porsche so went to Hayward & Scott, they said they could not match the tight bend on the outlet pipes, I said cut mine off and use that which they did "great job" and stainless steel. Had a 1980 Turbo for 5 years before this one so now over 20s ome yeays of turbo ownership!
