flat battery

I seem to recall members saying that if their 993's stood for a week the batteries would be run down. Mine is doing this. I have changed the battery; checked that all the curtesy lights go out, but still have a drain of 0.11 amps normally and 0.12 with the immobiliser on. Is this usual? Any electrical specs. or tips would be appreciated.

That big clock probably uses 0.11 amp[;)]

Mine goes for about 3 weeks before the battery is too weak to start the engine.

My battery was lasting about ten days weeks (just) so I've swapped it for a new one and now it seems much better. A new 75 amp battery only costs about 45 quid so it's false economy to try to keep going with a weak one. Once they start to go that's it, you're much better off buying a new one. I reckon they last about three or four years under normal useage. My 964 used to eat them for breakfast though.

Thanks Maurice and all the other guys who replied.
I have now found the source of gradual drain on my battery.
After pulling all the fuses and relays it was still there. That left only two other places, the alternator diodes or the PA1000 Alarm. When I pulled the 20 amp alarm fuse the meter reading dropped to 0.03 amps. where it should be with only the clock active.
So its a trip down to Hamilton and Palmers to have it sorted.

Gerry
