Flat windscreen wiper mod

Hi guys,
I'm trying to make (or buy) a set of flat wiper arms like you see on modern cars for my 951. I've been looking at modern cars like the VW UP! but their arms are still about 6" too long to even attempt to try using.
I think i'll mod a set or make my own.
I've searched the forum but couldn't see anyone having done this before. Does anyone know of any modern cars with suitable arms I could get from a breakers? If not I'll modify some and post a guide in the coming weeks.

I had some on my S2. Costco sells Goodyear flat blades which come with various fittings to suit most arms. They're a lot cheaper than Bosch blades, but I did find they could lift a bit at speed. I took them off when I reverted from clear indicators to orange to get a more original look.

Edit: Just re-read your post and realised you are maybe looking for something more than just blades... in which case - sorry, no help!

Got some from wiperblades.co.uk (I think). They came with an adapter for the wiper arm and fitted OK...I was curious to see if this latest idea was an improvement. It isn't, to be honest, and they look different so I have bought a pair of standard fitment blades to fit. When I get around to it

BTW I bought Bosch blades for both daily drivers and they squeaked even when wet. Got so sick of cleaning screens with Glass Cleaner and the blades with vinegar, to no avail, so Halfords blades have done the trick!! Wonder what's going on?

I fitted some these [:)]. But I doubt the car will get wet enough to test them

Don't know quite what he meant by -flat arms- don't all arms need a -bow -plus spring to cope with panoramic convex windscreens?

I've been looking at doing this as well. modern arms with flat blades sit closer to the screen and look neater. I was going to cut an original pair of arms and weld on the ends from a newer car ie mk7 golf or similar. But now I think I'll pull the arms off of mine and go to the local scrappy and see if I can find similar length arms from another car.
