Flo-Flex bushes

have seen these advertised on ebay, does anybody have any experience of them compared to the more well known ones, Powerflex, Superflex.

Hi i fitted a complete set from Flo Flex for the ARB they tightened the front up great, also simple to fit and they are good quality[;)]

I think this car will be used as a fast everyday car. I'm not into having a modern box and Iike looking at my classic steeing wheel, sitting in my race seat and hearing engine, suspension and other bits working.

It was going to be a track car but finances have improved through work and I'm looking at a 944turbo, 968 or 911 of some variety.

I feel that new 968 bushes/mounts will be better for road use (EMC use these on tracjk cars too). Delrin and similar bushes alwaus squeek too; and theres little you can do to keep them quiet.

Definitely, if there is one thing I have learned with these cars over the years it is to stick with new standard bushes and don't waste your money, although some standard bushes are very expensive such as top mounts. All the race cars in PCGB championship for example run standard bushes and you don't hear ppl complaining about the cars being pigs to drive because of bushes flexing.

Seconded entirely.

New (standard) bushes will firm up the ride no end and still allow the necessary compliance so the body isnt over stressed. To reduce bush compliance transfers more stress into the body and if too extreme will cause it to crack or welds to seperate unless the body itself is strengthened by top and bottom struts or (ideally) a welded in roll cage. I`m not saying poly bushes shouldnt be fitted but the difference will not be that noticeable in my opinion but the cost will if you do all of them at the same time -which you should as its not good practice to change only some.

As an example (once fitted) my KWV3 and W/M ARB combination made a chip in the windcreen that had been there for a year go into a 5" crack over a weekends motoring and the car has movement (noise) in the rear that wasnt apparent before.

I have poweflex throughout on my white car, they were fitted with other stuff so I can't be 100% certain of their individual benefit, but my car feels wonderfully direct with no unpleasent slack. Can't say I've noticed much extra noise from them, but it's possibly hidden by everything else [:)].

I poly bushed my s2 MO30 a while ago with powerflex. Made a big difference. I will be doing the same with my turbo aswell soon along with gaz shocks.
