Flywheel weekend event - Bicester - 20-21st June

Several members have asked about the Flywheel weekend event that is being held at Bicester Heritage on Saturday, June 20th and Sunday, June 21st. We have been speaking with the organisers and are pleased to say that Club members can book discounted tickets using the following Club discount code: FLYPCGB15 provided these are purchased in advance.

Flywheel is a much bigger event than the Sunday Brunch Scrambles (SBSs) we've attended previously. It is organised by Historic Promotions Ltd in partnership with Bicester Heritage and has a very different format. We will therefore not have a dedicated Porsche display area as we do at the SBS events, instead members will be able to display within various categories within the pre '66 and pre '86 cars display areas. For more information about Flywheel please see our Events area listing. There are links to the relevant organiser's web pages.

FYI, an adult one-day advance ticket costs £25 (£30 on the gate), while an age 5-15 child ticket costs £5 (£10 on the gate). The club code (see above) gives you a buy one, get one free ticket deal on advance discounted tickets. Each adult ticket includes a copy of the Flywheel Festival souvenir programme. You can book tickets on the organiser's website here.

As we're unable to go to Flywheel Event this weekend, if any R31 member is going we'd really appreciate a picture or two of the event for our region report in Porsche Post. If you'd like to write a quick review of the event that would be great too - 150 words is ideal. Pictures can be emailed to us at r31@porscheclubgb.com or, if you have a DropBox account, you can upload your pictures into the Region's Dropbox by clicking on the red button below. Very many thanks. Have a great time if you go along.

Hi Steve, The organisers will be running the Flywheel event again this year on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 July - details are on [link=http://www.flywheelfestival.com/]their website[/link]. We have requested space for Porsche Club members to display cars (up to 15) and a Club discount code so anyone wanting to go will be able to take advantage of the half-price deal. We will put this up as soon as we get confirmation from them.

As we will be on holiday during that period, and there are several other events taking place in July that we will be attending, we don't plan to be at the Flywheel event ourselves.
