Hi all, I have a 997.2 turbo with the latest Radio / Satnav system (installed new as the PC couldn't upgrade my original for some reason)
I have a Snooper Radar detector and a dashcam plugged into the 12v socket in the passenger's footwell, which seems to be causing interference with the FM signal
on Radio 2. The cable is routed via the glovebox to the Snooper on the dashboard. A sales guy at PC Silverstone said he was sure that this interference would be caused by the power cable,
and that hard-wiring it solve this problem!
I haven't done exhaustive tests on this, but unplugging / plugging in the power cable did stop / restart the interference.
Has anyone ever had experience of this, or can offer advice?
The main reason for the question is that I am a bit reluctant to get the hardwiring done as I don't want holes poked or drilled through the dash by some gorilla and the only place I've seen
this service offered is Halfords - No slight intended on the guys at Halfords, natch.
Any Ideas?
H.
