Hi Guys

Can anyone comment on the "˜foam guns' used in car valeting?

Are they a good idea and does anyone have some recommendations on what to get and where to get it from?

JJ

I have one and use ph neutral snowfoam that is applied using my karchcher pressure washer, leave it on for a while and helps lift the dirt, it doesnt have the brand on the bottle or nozzle so i cant guide you as to what it is, i found it on google, good luck

I use the snow foam as a pre-wash. Cover in foam, rinse off and then hand wash with mitt (lambs wool, of course![:D])
Also during the winter months it's a quick way to get off the worst grime without having to freeze to death.

It does bring off most of the crud and I like it! You need a pressure washer and if you buy the foam gun then you need to make sure it comes with the correct fitment to your washer. I use the snow foam which also contains a wax. Get my stuff from here........

As ever though care needed when using a pressure washer anywhere near the paintwork!

Their website also has some good info on how to use it!

The snow foam lance from I4detailing is ~£50.

Halfords market a Karcher foam lance for £18 - bottle is very small at 300ml (you need to fill twice for a good wash) but quite effective.

Hi, I used a foam gun with about a 300ml capacity for the first time yesterday. The container emptied in about 15 seconds i.e. it just sprayed the shampoo, I assumed it would mix it with the water?
