My 911 C2S is just over a month old, and I picked up some Mobil 1 today to top the oil up. But when I took the cap off the oil filler pipe I noticed some foam inside the pipe and on the underside of the cap.
On a normal engine where the filler cap is on the top of the cylinder head, one would worry about head gasket problems, since the foam would indicate water in the oil. But since the 911 has the filler pipe, I'd be surprised if this foam had come all the way up from the head.
So, what I'm asking is whether this is normal. Do you get condensation in the pipe, which then reacts with the oil, or has water dripped into the pipe at some point? Or more worrying, is this an indication of something serious?
This is my first post on here, so thanks in advance for any help with this.
