Hi everyone, new member here from Sydney Australia with an Ocean Blue 99 Boxster S 6 speed. Hope to learn and contribute in this forum.

Are there any 986 owners here using fog lights as day time running lights?

I came across this interesting Fog lights to DRL mod from a U.S. forum: 986 Forum - for Porsche Boxster Owners and Others - Powered by vBulletin

Anti-Bling Porsche Boxster DIY's

According to the author, I need to tap fuse "A7" with the purple relay shown in the picture below,

Anti-bling:
DRL+2

However my relay arrangement seems to be different to the picture in anti-bling's blog,

Mine:

Notice there is no purple coloured replay in my car.

ï¼´his might be due to model differences between Australia and the U.S Boxsters. And Australian spec Boxster should be the same as Europe (and ROW)? Does anyone know the fog light relay location in our cars assuming they are the same?

Found another similar DIY:www.ppbb.com/phorum/read.php?24,1553073,1553073
Again, it's an U.S. Boxster and relay #12 is missing in my Australian 986.

Appreciate any help

I'd be surprised if any UK owners have done this as it's illegal to use fog lights in the UK unless visibility is impaired.
