For Anyone Camping This Summer

I wouldn't like to pull a caravan with this towbar. A small camping trailer or a dinghy trailer perhaps.
Cheers,

While putting a tow bar on the back of a sports car is sacrilege, I could almost be tempted for one of these. They only sleep two - it is pretty much a double bed on wheels - but would be great once "Small" is "Big" and doesn't need to come away with us.

No...no...no...no...no...no..noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

It's still a caravan, John. If you get that I would have to stop talking to you, which would be a shame, but principles are principles.

There is/was a firm in Cheltenham that made fibreglass caravans that were smaller than this one. More like a solid tent on wheels but five years ago they were £1000.
There was an article in PP some years ago about a couple who towed their caravan behind a 944 Cab.
My 924S came with a tow-bar, previously owner toed his sailing dinghy with it. Much beefier item that the one in on ebay.
Cheers,

Seriously if you fancy camping just by a nice large, good quality tent, minature caravans are stupid novelty items.

Having put up, and taken down, more than my fair share of tents (in all sizes) in wind, rain, sleet and snow I can appreciate an option to just get out of bed a leave. I admit that a big tent would be more convenient for cooking etc and more comfortable for a longer period but for a one/two night stay the baby caravan is very appealing. Trying to pitch a tent in a tarmac paddock is no fun at all.

Being small and light I doubt it would be anymore of a hindrance to other motorists than any other fast car [;)]

Don't worry Fen, I'll not be getting one for a good few years yet.
