FOR SALE: 1982 924 Red

This is a car that looks great with many new or immaculate body panels but the engine and diff is worn so the driveline feels tired. Was used as a reliable daily commuter till last week.

It has had new rack and suspension bushes and drives very well indeed. No MOT problems with the suspension bushes etc. It has just failed its MOT on a couple of brake pipes needing replacement.

So ... its for sale as a 'project' or I may break it if enough people are interested in the good bits.

The problem areas are: noisy diff, tappety engine, seats have seen better days, driver's wing has some small paint blisters.

Its got the larger Audi throttle body fitted. Original is OK and will go as a spare with the car.

I have many good digital pics of all aspects, so pls ask by e-mail.

Not looking to drive a hard bargain, I only want to send it to a new home. What's it worth?

the main problem you'll have (as you know)is that the repairs are going to be more expensive than the car will be worth.

you don't say what year or how many miles its done. but you do say the insides looking tired as well as bits of the outside. i therefore wouldn't look at the car unless it was advertised well under £1,000.

IMHO

Hi - not sure if you're advising or haggling [:D]

but to answer your points:
the year is stated as 1982, but you're quite right i didn't state the mileage - its shows 85k, but no guarantees.

I wouldn't expect anything like a £1000 for it [;)]
