Sad to say, I've decided it's time to let someone else have my much-loved 968 CS as I just don't have time to use it - only 1100 miles last year, which is not good for a car. [:(]

I'm away to London for a few days but back on Sunday, when I'll post full details. Ideally it'll stay in this region and the lucky owner will give me first refusal when he/she decides to sell! Please form an orderly queue. [;)][;)][;)]

I'd love one like that Richard! I have a few admirers of mine but not sure they have the Wonga.

You might want to have a look on PH first - 968's seem to be sticking a bit, prices are all over the place, even for the supposedly "more desirable" CS's (the cheap option when originally on sale!). Dave's immaculate CS sold in 10 days a few months ago, don't know how close he got to his asking price, guess it's a bit of a specialist market! My coupe has been on PH for about a fortnight now, interest has been dissapointing to put it mildly! What's the cost of keeping the car another year compared to how much you'd have to lower your perceived value of the car in order to sell it - a question I could be asking myself in a month or so, as I'd also like "first refusal to repurchase" from the buyer of my coupe!

Don't sell it Richard well at least not at the moment. I would love to buy it but not in the possition at the moment. Can you hang onto it for another year?

Finally got around to going through the box file and drafting this advert. Apologies to those who know all about these stunning cars - it's also aimed at the PH audience.

Genuine RHD 968 Club Sport in original Maritime Blue, definitely the best colour. Less than 2000 Club Sport versions of the 968 were built and only 173 were registered in the UK (from a UK total of 1043 for all versions of the 968). This is a rare version of a rare car.

A lorry driver actually asked me at a filling station last night what the colour was called and said how beautiful the car looked. Won 2 Porsche Club GB concours events in 2004 and I think it could be back to that standard without a huge amount of effort. Just had a professional clay bar and polish detailing externally. Well known in the Club in the south of Scotland.

Much money spent in recent years to keep it at the correct standard. Enhanced by the registration A968 CSL (but this is subject to separate negotiation).

Factory equipment including 3 litre Variocam engine, 6-speed gearbox, Koni Sport shock absorbers, lightweight Recaro seats in body colour, rear wiper, Porsche overmats, cargo net, sunroof cover, full tool kit, Porsche immobiliser.

Additional equipment:
K & N airfilter, Promax 7100 chip
Goodridge braided brake hoses and ATE Blue brake fluid
Pioneer face-off stereo with cassette player and 6-disc changer "" 2004
Powerflex bushes to front wishbones, castor mounts "" 2006
Bridgestone SO2 N3 - 2008

First registered in June 1993, with 6 previous owners. Full service history and a box file full of invoices and MoT certificates back to 1996. MoT expires May 2012. 94,400 documented miles. Always fed Shell V-Power and Silkolene Pro S 5/40 fully synthetic oil for the last 5 years. 12K service 1200 miles ago in 2010. All TLC by Motortune at Shotts during my 3.5 years of ownership.

Key service replacements:
4 Koni Sports plus Powerflex "" 2006
Clutch - 2006
Windscreen "" 2007
Timing and balance belts "" 2007
Water pump and tensioner "" 2007
Timing belt - 2010

Additional equipment fitted during my ownership:
Thatcham Cat 1 alarm (Toad) with remote fob and central door locking (not the tailgate) - 2007
Porsche Motorsport Turbo splitter - 2008
MO30 roll bars - 2008
Steering wheel spacer - 2008
RS Barns strut brace - 2008
4 brake callipers replaced, plus front discs and Pagid Yellow pads, at EMC - 2008

In summary, it's a CS so it's not quiet (weight saving included thinner carpets and sound deadening, no electric windows, mirror or tailgate release, lighter wiring harness) and the suspension is very firm, but it corners on rails, helped by the MO30 roll bars, and every journey brings a smile to your face. The car has covered under 2500 miles in the last 2½ years so it needs an owner with time to use and enjoy it. He/she will be buying one of the best in the country.

I also have a second set of correct Porsche Cup 1 wheels (originally on the car), fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup (front) and Dunlop SP Super Sport Race (rear) tyres, which I've never used. Also the 4 brake callipers (needing refurbishing) and lightly used front discs, all removed when the brakes were renewed, and a second set of Pagid Yellows. These are for sale separately but ideally I would sell them with the car, to include the other fitted items (i.e. front splitter, s/wheel spacer, strut brace, registration number, which will otherwise be removed to put the car back to near original specification). Someone who buys the whole package gets a beautiful road car with a unique number which can also do the occasional track day and not disgrace itself or its driver!

Prices: 1. The car less the non-standard fitted items: £12,500 2. The complete package: £14,000
PLEASE no part exchange requests, silly offers, timewasters, tyre kickers or overseas scams.

PS Not sure why it won't show the other pics. Might be because they are too large? Any advice please!

It's an absolutely beautiful car. If money was no object, I'd add it to my own garage! Good luck with the sale Richard.

If you use these image addresses between tags, I think the pics should work:

Quite a discrepancy between that site and the government site shown in a thread on the 944 forum! The government site has 2 separate sheets for licenced and SORN'd cars and shows, as of Q4 2010, 93 licenced and 3 SORN's CS's against 83 licenced and 55 SORN's on Howmanyleft!

Even more amusing to me is that, according to the Howmanyleft site, my 1994 tip coupe is the only one in the country - a good few 93 and 92, but only 1 1994 licenced or SORN'd - so it must be mine!
