FOR SALE 944 TURBO

Amber_Iced

New member
Its a 1987 944 turbo in Almond beige metallic, brown leather interior, phone
dial wheels.
Its been owned by me since August 2004, and has just under 79k miles on it.
Belts last changed at 73k in 2006.
Full Porsche service history stamped in book up to 48k miles.

Has been fitted with a Vitesse Maf Kit, with 72lb injectors, and their
computer to allow fueling adjustments. This cost over £1000. This also is used to alter water injection delivery
via the Aquamist 2c system, a very good system which cost £400.
It also has a turbonetics T04E turbo with #8 hotside. It has a Greddy
Profec, electronic boost controller. A dynojet wideband controller.
Roll bars are 26.8mm front and 18mm rear. Front has Delrin bushes, rear has
powerflex. Front also has the KLA industries front stiffener bracket, and
strut brace.
New front disks and pads fitted at 3M, also fitted new regulator to the
alternator. I even had the gearbox oil changed at 70k.

There is slight flaking on some paint on the wheels, but not from kerbing,
just peeling with age.
Sills are solid, and there is no visible rust, but there is a crack to the
rear bumper from parking (not an accident).
Leather interior is good, with no holes or tears to an seats, including the
drivers.
£4,500 ono

More Pictures available on request.

Thanks

I think that it is rude to join a BBS, post or add nothing and then spam the general forum with a for sale advert.

I disagree. Unless it's a rule that you have to be a member to post something relevant to this site for sale, then what's the problem?
He may never of heard of this forum before, asked around, and got directed here. Sounds like a nice car with some good mods
that someone might be interested in.

Perhaps I'm too Australian to see the rudeness. [:)]

Patrick - maybe some sort of introduction might have been appropriate with a first post...or am I being too British? :ROFLMAO:

Yes I guess it was a bit sudden. I just thought perhaps rather than biting his head off someone could have
guided him to a more appropriate manner in which to do so. Personally I think the focus is on a genuine car
that looks to have had a lot of decent mods done to it and it's for what I assume is a good price.
Anyway, not even a storm in a teacup. [:)]

Thanks for your support!

I'm also a girl not a guy. My boyfriend has been a member on this site for years and has provided lots of tech support and has been the one that's done all mods and kept the car the way it is. He thought it would be a good place for me to sell my car but wasn't expecting a backlash from the add.

But once again, thanks for those who have not 'had a go'!

I just have a great car which I wish to sell to somebody who will appreciate it!

Adele

Hi Adele,

All forums tend to get people joining just to try to sell to them, it does some long-term users annoyed! If your other half has been here for a while them the car will be well-known, and that's a selling point in it's own right.

Good luck, it looks great from the ad.

MM, I'd actually consider buying it TBH , but I do have a bit of a prob re the colour. That apart must be a nice 944 for someone [:D]

Any power charts to verify the effectiveness of the modifications? Any updates to the brakes?

Regards,
Andrew

Hi Andrew,

I have just checked with my boyfriend and he has said for you to go to rennlist.com to read about how good the
Vitesse is. He also said that he Turbo breaks are more than good enough to deal with the extra power put out by the mods.

Hope this helps! [:)]

Thanks
Adele

I wouldn't worry about any negative feedback, there's some that have an old fashioned view on what's right and wrong on this board, if you had put the car on here for £2k they would have been your best mate to buy it.

Why the anger guys I think its nice we get offered the opportunity to buy an enthusiast owned car here first. I think this would be a good market for it. Who cares if they're a forum member or not??

If they're offering an opportunity to buy a nice car its not spamming. I might have been interested it,s just not the colour for me. I only do black, red or white cars.

I think, Ben, it's because there have been so many occasions of people signing up here just to flog a real dog of a car without even saying "hello". This looks a good car from the ad, although belts are due this year, so it's not an issue. It wouldn't even have raised hackles if Adele's boyfriend, a forum user for a long time, had advertised it. I love the way this site can help people quickly, but instant messages do lead to misunderstandings sometimes. Group hug, everyone! [:D]

I like the colour as well. Suits the age of the design, IMO.

To be fair I can't remember that colour in the flesh and they always look better than in pics (styling not condition)
