In perfect working order and in excellent condition (no leakage) a full set of Monroe vibration dampers/shock absorbers and front/rear springs @ 41831 miles, plus associated nuts & bolts. I only chose to replace these parts at a major service in 2017 as the car was 21 years old! Full info re part numbers etc on the main "For Sale" section of the Forum.

£250 with buyer responsible for uplift costs (Edinburgh area). [For reference, new Classic replacements cost £2696 inc VAT but excluding labour at OPC]

John - it would be great to hear your views on the new classic suspension compared with the originals.

Hi Mark - thanks for your interest - and for posing quite a difficult question to answer - other than sort of anecdotally!

Certainly the Classic replacement and wheel alignment allows me to drive the C2 to with full confidence on the road; she now feels beautifully balanced and firmly planted, even though I find the Pirelli PZero Rosso tyres a little unyielding and noisy. Prior to such work being undertaken, I found the front end was a little skittish and particularly susceptible to cross winds.

Hope this helps, John

PS : I only replaced the existing shocks/springs etc as I felt that after 23 years .... I probably should!
