Any pics of the 997?

Mike

I saw that same car at the Cornhill House hotel a few weeks ago - as far as was aware Porsche didn't sell the 997 RS in those colours, just black, silver, orange and green - so is it a custom order, or is it something pretending to be a RS?

Hellishly expensive way to pretend to be an RS but a quick trawl would suggest they do exist
Not the actual car

the thing that makes me question it is that while porsche would supply one in white as a special order, they refuse point blank to do it in white with blue decals - so if it is genuine the owner has gone to a lot of trouble to get the blue on there.....

I remember reading that they (the factory) were supplying a very limited number of White GT3 RSs, but I seem to recall they were shipped with no decals (white, silver wheels, no decals)
It was in the Porsche mags at the time.

The best bit:
It was even more money than a standard coloured RS...and had less!
Priceless!

Having seen that pic...I'm wondering if the specials were white with silver and black decals. Hmm.

Owner says car started life black and not the car owned by the Edinburgh surveyor.Maybe it was butchered by a man from Berwick.
