FOR THOSE WORRIED ABOUT STARTING THEIR CARS AFTER A TWO MONTH LAY-OFF...

I wondered how they were running it for so long, surely as a racing car it wouldn't have fans, and then reminded myself it was oil/air cooled !! []
I've run my GT3r up a few times this winter so far (trying to squeeze in more antifreeze for the -16C we've had), and it doesn't take long to get to 85C with both radiators up to temperature !!
As for starting my car, it had been unused since November which is by far the longest I have ever left it in 12 years due entirely to snow and salt. Anyway, it fired immediately last week and its not even seen a trickle charger. This is another advantage to having few unnecessary toys to drain the battery. I do have a minor fault whereby a seconary heater fan refuses to fully turn off and this will drain the battery after a few days if not isolated, I am in the habit of removing the fuse, often for prolonged periods but it does mean that the heater is also switched off. The ram-air effect does atleast allow fresh air to be directed towards the screen. This problem has withstood the efforts of atleast two specialists, any ideas?
