With a few extras the C4S cab would be twice the price of a nicely specced 987S!! I'd think I'd keep the Boxster and put the rest towards 996 GT-3 for weekend fun!

Absolutely! Although I guess Porsche have to satisfy the US market.

Not just the US market.. 987 lacks the rear seats of the 911, and for those of us with young kids, then the 987 just isn't an option if you want open top porsche fun. If you don't need the rear seats then surely a 987 and a cayman stripped out and rollcaged for the weekend would be a better option??

I love the Boxster, but would definitely go for the C4S cab over a BS. The B just doesn't have that extra grunt a 911 gives you.
