Fornt headlight replacement/indicator

Afternoon all, I took my car into to be MOT tested today, knowing that the front nearside indicator was not working. I haven't driven the car for a few weeks and was getting round to changing the bulb, but me being lazy and strapped for time, asked them to replace it.
Apparantley the entire front nearside headlight unit needs replacing, as the "pins are bent at the back"? I will take the headlight out and investigate this wknd, just wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem?.....The garage (an indy) reckon that I will need a whole new headlight unit....any thoughts appreciated
 
The connector sockets in the body have a tendency to pop out their mounting bracket very occasionally, but it doesn't normally damage the pins. It sounds like someone has tried to fit the light unit with the connector out of position.

If you need a new light unit, try one of the specialist breakers like Porsch-Apart. A new one is £630 from an OPC.
