Forthcoming DSG system for Boxster

Does anyone know if or when the new DSG gearbox is going to be available on the Boxster?

I have asked at my local Porsche dealership and they don't know anything about it. I read in Autocar that it would be available at the launch of the Cayman but now things have gone quiet on all fronts.

I am holding off purchasing a new tiptronic Boxster knowing that this super gearbox may be fitted to the Boxster at some time.

It has been predicted in the motoring media for quite some time.

Apparently Porsche are still perfecting their system, but my guess is 2006. IMO tiptronic is past its sell by date. DSG is the future.

I was particularly interested in the DSG for the Cayman launch after all the publicity, but it was clear talking to the salespeople they had no schedule for the DSG launch and it was some time away, of the order of a year.
