Forza 944 battle anyone?

Hi all,

Mentioned this idea about a year ago. My 944 withdrawal is now getting too much. Does anyone fancy a bit of on-line geekiness this weekend? I know it's no substitute for the real thing but a 944 battle might be fun.

If there are a few people up for it with like me nothing better to do in their hard earned free time then I'll set up a game.

My gamer tag is Squirtydog [:D]

Looks like you've started already "¦ [:D]

Yep, trying to make the thing go in a straight line

... big brother is watching! Told my wife I was getting the kitchen ready for decorating. Forgot she works at a computer and can check.[&:]

I noticed that the 944 Turbo in Forza 2 doesn't handle anywhere near as well as the real thing!

Forza 2 is a videogame, for the Xbox360. It's one of those "˜semi-real, semi-fun' race driving games. As you improve at playing the game and win more races, you build up a bank balance with which you can purchase better cars. One of the cars available is a 944 Turbo. You can then customize it to look pretty much how you like.

When the game was a bit newer (it's a few years old now), a few people on this forum all had a go at recreating their own cars in the game. Then we could race them against each other online.

Ouch![&:][:)]

Your description of the game very accurately sums up the childishness of it all[:)]. Good fun though. Oh well. Just thought it might be a bit of fun. I'll be festering in my pit of on-line geekiness if anyone wants to join me.

Forza is about the only game i play on xbox, gamertag is Rarst. Did build some 944s but theyre a bit disappointing compared to the real thing.

Don't get me wrong"”I switched on the Xbox last night to see if you were still about, but you'd logged off a couple of hours earlier!

I never really got into Forza 2, once I'd built and played with my 944 and my wife's Mini, I got a bit bored and went back to playing Project Gotham instead. PGR4 is great. There's a really good looking racing game coming this Christmas called Blur, from the same development team.

No offence taken - just gave me a giggle. Sitting in the living room and spending several hours 'racing' with your virtual friends whom you have never met is a little sad. Unfortunately more important things were found for me to do this weekend. Just checked back to the original posts and realised you are Designergeek, never did manage to have a race. Might give PGR4 a go.

Pastry - I'll send a 'friend request'. If you fance a race at any point then you'll find me in my throne!...

hehe nice setup!

Up for a race any time im online, I tend to switch between improving my lap times and racing in public lobbies, though sunday evenings I race my brother; he lives in the states so we usually end up chatting as much as racing. As that time i usually knock back invites.

I'm in a 'clan' - the forza one at http://www.2old2play.com - pretty casual friendly bunch, mostly american. Mostly faster than me :/

Ive got PGR4 too tho I prefer PGR3 for some reason; good fun but forza is the daddy imo.
